It's definitely different being on my own with both kiddos and I have to be up and at 'em no matter how my night was....
I think Lucy is making progress with Noah (Nano, as she calls him :)), but she still seems to want to squeeze him, be rough, head butt, etc.
Any suggestions from anyone who has been there? She used to always be good at "being gentle" but it seems to go out the window with her little brother....
Probably normal, but hoping she keeps taking steps forward. She also gets really mad when we correct her and tell her she can't be rough and needs to be gentle or if we say she can't touch him - it can easily turn into tantrum city.
Despite all of that - things have been going really well and we are so happy and thankful, just adjusting to all the new things!

Your kids are beautiful! I obviously have no expertise in the parenting area, but I hope that Lucy warms up to Noah soon!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, I have SO been there (am there actually!). Can't tell you how many times I say "Leah, be gentle with baby!" in one day :). Just be consistent with it. Noah will build a tough skin quickly!
ReplyDeleteAww so sweet! Love the pics. L will get there with N, just keep doing what you're doing and give it time. Patience & gentle correction always seems to go a long way, from what I witness with others. I'm sure you are doing a superb job! Love you friend!
