Mother's Day Recap

Had a pretty normal day with church and Lucy's nap, then a fun little excursion to the city for a walk along the lake, although we might have been RUNNING to the train only to miss it by seconds (it's ok, we just drove in), one pregnant lady might have had to use a non existent bathroom in an area of trees in a park and one little baby might have been soaked through her sleeper and we might have eaten mcdonalds as we were walking back to the car....even so, it was a lovely day and precious times and memories with Joe and my girl.

Michigan Trip - May 2012

We went home to St. Joe Michigan for a graduation ceremony and for some time with my side of the family.
Got in 9 holes of golf, a couple dates with Joe, kilwin's ice cream (which has significantly gone up in price...a milkshake is $7.17 - i seriously laughed outloud thinking it was a joke, but it was not.), a little beach time, Joe and my dad took the kayak over to it's summer location at a friend's home on the lake, lots of time out on the porch, lawn and walks around the neighborhood.

Here are some photos of our time together!

Our newest nephews!!

Jacob Benjamin and Josiah Samuel (formerly the big guy and little guy) are their names and they are SO, SO sweet. We were able to see lots of photos and videos on Tuesday night of D & S's time in Ethiopia and it was all so amazing and oh my goodness, we love those boys so much already.
Here are a few photos from Sara's blog and facebook that I wanted to share, but check out her blog for more info, pics and details. So thankful for Don and Sara's safe time there, that they are the official parents of these boys and praying they will be able to come home Very soon!!

25 week update

Had a Dr. appointment this week and all looks good. My whole stomach was shifting around when the nurse was trying to check the heartbeat, haha - this baby is a MOVER.
I was told it was probably still ok to play golf - which I did 2 days later with Joe and my dad - and all is well :)
But told I should probably not ride bikes anymore :( Feel like that is the right thing, but we love taking Lucy out in the little bike trailer (post to come on that...)

Here are some photos and the detailed update:

23 weeks

25 weeks

How far along: 25 weeks

Total weight gain: 4 pounds

Best moments this month: watching my stomach move - especially in the morning, at night or when I'm out in the sun and just feeling kicks, punches and any movement, even when it's so hard it's nauseating :)

Food cravings: Lots of fruit and pop :(

Gender: Don't know!

Belly button in or out: my very inny is seeming very much level with my belly now

Labor signs: nope

What I miss: having more energy. everything seems like a bigger deal. carrying L much, gardening, housework, it just all seems harder and I get more back aches or sore from it all

What I am looking forward to: summer! these days have been perfect - getting plants, going on walks, visiting my family & celebrating mother's day with us 3 and then with both sides of the family were really special. excited for Don and Sara's twins (Jacob and Josiah) to come home so Lucy can have some more playmates too!! :)

Milestones: Being in my 6th month and realizing I don't have too much longer to go! It's wonderful and scary at the same time...

Prayer for the Joneses in Ethiopia!

Great news! We just heard that Don and Sara are safely in Ethiopia - Praise the Lord!
It is 8 hours ahead there and their courtdate is on Monday early afternoon there so if you could be praying for them as you go to bed on Sunday night - that everything will go smoothly, that the judge will pass them and approve them as the boys' parents and that there will not be any hiccups, delays or problems, that would be awesome.
Trusting the Lord for the lives and futures of these sweet boys who need a loving family and home and praying that the court sees fit for them to be a part of the Jones family forever.
Thanks for your love and care for our family through this extremely long process, they so appreciate the prayers and support and I will keep you all posted as things are finalized.
