Wow - where to begin? It was SO fun to get away with half of the Jones family. It was certainly an adventure - first time flying with any kids - so 2 was a douzy, but actually they did REALLY well. Harder on the way home since it was their bedtime, but it all went way better than I expected and they also slept pretty well in FL which I wasn't anticipating.
We had some fun dinners out, 2 times of playing in the gulf which Lucy LOVED, a couple pool times - 2 times where I got to lay in the sun alone or with my sister in law, awww, lovely!
Sadly the weather was unseasonably cold and rainy, but during this time Lucy had the flu - yucky times - so we laid low anyway and it was fine :) Poor girl.
Also we pricelined a car and got a great deal but apparently our whole plane got a priceline car through Budget so Joe waited in line for over an hour while Lucy ran around and played, I fed Noah, changed diapers, etc....So while he was at the counter (ALONE) they mentioned him "upgrading" to a camaro (AKA they are OUT of economy cars that we agreed to - like a ford focus size....) of course he said YES......camaro = boyhood dream right?! So as I waited and saw a Camaro pulling up I thought, haha, that'd be SO Funny but NOT funny if that was Joe........................................Sure enough it WAS Joe, much to my dismay....
So after 20 mins of trying to figure out how to fit 2 adults, 2 kids, 2 car seats, 1 suitcase, 1 duffle, 1 pack n play, 1 double stroller.............we figured it out. But the strolled was in my lap and I could barely breath for about an hour. Good times. But we made it. Ha.
In conclusion, not the best health and weather but overall a lovely trip, time with family and just fun to be away from home and somewhere beautiful!! :)
