Hair Help!

So I'm always floundering with what to do with my hair. I used to dye it all the time and cut it differently very often, back in my wild and crazy days... ;)
now I'm boring and Joe likes it that way...natural color and long. nothing fancy.

With that said, I'd love to get your opinions on if you have any thoughts on what I could do to update it a little and if you think I should go for it now in the summer or wait till the littlest one is a few months old and I'm showering and going out more and might actually style my hair (though I'm not making any promises)...

Ok - see pics below for ideas of shorter cuts, bangs, etc.... and PLEASE let me know what you think. I need help!!!

  1. I love those first two...actually makes me want to do it!

  2. I think you would look cute with short hair! You wouldn't necessarily have to cut it drastically short to make a fun change, either. I cut mine about shoulder length last October. I still had some hair left for Josh (hehe), and the layers framed my face nicely! It was exciting to do something different.

  3. i'm a chronic hair-cutter! usually when it's short, i'm "growing it out" until its long...and then i just miss my short hair and cut it all off again! that said, i love me a short 'do! i say go for it :) i like 1 & 2 a lot, too!

  4. Hm, knowing that you're like me in the sense of liking your hair out of your face when you eat and such... I personally stay away from the bangs/short cut because I need to be able to get it into a ponytail. As fun and sassy as it looks, it's not super practical for your lifestyle, but I know sometimes what we want is to not be practical and live footloose and fancy-free for a while... so if that's what you're looking for, get it out of your system now, and then go back to practical cuz it works for you. :)

I love what Monica did with her hair recently [http://www.deliberatelydomestic.com/2012/05/22/on-doing-things-for-yourself/] and it looks great if she straightens or curls it, and she can use pins or bands to keep it out of her face when needed. [And if you're feeling really sassy, go for the blue streak too! LOL]

On pics above: 1 & 5 would look best on you. #5 especially works well for you - just keep stock in lots of bobby pins for getting those bangs out of your face when eating. ;)

    1. And also... what works for me is growing my hair out but then layering it with longer layers - allows it to frame my face and give it a fresh look, while still being able to get it into that much-needed ponytail. :)

  5. I like the second picture- I can see you with that style! What if you go back to highlighting and get it done in Michigan? Much cheaper and highlights always seem to make a hairstyle look more "fresh". You're cute either way. :)

  6. you know me...grow it out, chop it all off! you'd look awesome in any of them, but I say go for it! who has time to blow dry...I've loved the short this time around :)

  8. Wow! I totally get you, like 100%. I just chopped 7 in off my hair to try and get a new look. And it's really just my hair shorter. But I want some style, something different. But I'm scared!

Just go for it!!! Maybe I'll go shorter too!

  9. Love number two also! My vote would be go for something that would look cute with or without a lot of maintenance :)

  10. I don't know if I can picture you with short hair. I don't think I've ever seen it, but I'm sure you would look great. I kind of like Reese's almost shoulder length hair in #3. Could totes see you with that cut and you could still pull it back.

  11. No idea you had a blog. So this is like a month late, but I like the first three. Honestly, you could pull off any of them.
